The La Conner Channel

Posted by on Sep 27, 2011 in Holidays

There is a little town called La Conner which is about halfway between Burlington and Anacortes. It is about a 15 minutes drive from the Pioneer Trails RV Park where we stayed. La Conner is well known for a couple of things, the first being the big Tulip Festival in the spring, which attracts a lot of tourists to the area.

The second is the sort of  ”artsy” atmosphere of the place. The main street is basically shops and restaurants geared towards tourists visiting the area.

This picture was taken from the bridge which crosses the channel which separates the mainland from Fidalgo Island which is on the left side.
