Under Pioneer Bridge

On one our trips to LA Conner we went to the 1st Annual Lacconner Arts and Music Festival in a place called Pioneer Park which is at the east end of the bridge crossing the channel. Good thing it was free admission because the event itself was kind of a Non-Event. I guess one can’t expect much for a firt effort. It reminded me of a 60′s hippie gathering. There was a Steel Band playing though and they were quite good. The rest of the area had local artists displaying the usual arts and crafts stuff one finds in small communities.

I was bored with the festival so I walked over by the bridge and took a picture of some of the Graffiti art on the bridge support. The art sort of added colour to an otherwise dull grey concrete surrounding.
