Winter at the Tennis Courts

Posted by on Jan 21, 2012 in Around Our Town

Along Lagoon Drive are several public tennis courts which overlook Lost Lagoon. In the warmer weather the benches are occupied with people and pets stopping for a rest to enjoy the view over the lagoon with the North Shore Mountains as a backdrop.

This view looks mainly to the Northeast where you will find the main entrance to Stanley Park and the Coal Harbour Marina area. The clouds are hanging around the mountains in this picture, but on a clear day you can see them easily from here.

Taken in December 2011 a few weeks before we received our first snowfall. The west end of Vancouver received very little snow compared to what fell in the eastern parts of Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
