Friday Morning, May 18th and it’s the start of the May Long Weekend Holiday. I’ve been riding my bike off and on for the last few weeks, trying to provide some “therapy” to my knees. I forced myself to delay breakfast this morning so I could get out and take a few photographs of The Vancouver Sun Run, a 10k running event which is the second largest timed event of this kind in the world! The event was started by some former Canadian Olympians Dr. Doug and Diane Clement along with Dr. Jack Taunton, to promote the benefits of running to improve health and fitness as well as support elite amateur athletics. One of the things we promised ourselves when we came back to Vancouver was to go on a Carol Ship Cruise. These are dinner cruises on various size boats that leave from Coal Harbour and I believe there is a boat or two that sails out of False Creek.
