The November Road Trip

I had to travel to Calgary last week to participate in my mothers move into her new nursing home/care facility. Luckily I had changed over to winter tires about a week before I got the call that a room had been found for her. I have driven the route from Calgary to Vancouver and back and forth and forth and back more times than I can count. The La Conner Channel

There is a little town called La Conner which is about halfway between Burlington and Anacortes. It is about a 15 minutes drive from the Pioneer Trails RV Park where we stayed. La Conner is well known for a couple of things, the first being the big Tulip Festival in the spring, which attracts a lot of tourists to the area.
